About Reiki

My Reiki Journey began as I was searching for a self-care routine that would help me reset my energy level on a daily basis.

Through my Reiki I training, my Master, Amy Brandon, taught me Usui Shiki Ryoho, The Usui Healing Method.

This was a revealing experience , which I would suggest to anyone interested in developing a self-healing practice and experience the benefit of the Reiki subtle energy healing.

I would also put an emphasis in ensuring that you do your research in finding the right Master for you.

I also completed my Reiki II attunement to share Reiki at a distance with my clients either on its own or as a combined service with a counselling session.

I have enjoyed witnessing the benefits of Reiki on my well-being as well as on the people that I have been able to share it with and I hope that you will also experience this too.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a hands-on energy healing practice which originates from Japan. My Reiki lineage starts from Mikao Usui who created in 1922 the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai - Society of the Usui Spiritual Healing Energy Method. I shall not develop on the origin of Reiki on this page but would rather mention its meaning and practice.

The Reiki symbol is made of two kanji (japanese writing using chinese character).

The top one is Rei  which can be translated as "Spiritual" or "Sacred"

and the bottom one is "Energy".

A simplified explanation about Reiki would be that the attuned Reiki practitioner or a Reiki Master, channels the universal energy using specific traditional hands placement during a treatment in order to support the body's relaxation and natural energy flow.

A Reiki Level 2 practitioner can also provide distance Reiki treatment through intentional and directed focus, using specific Reiki symbols. It facilitates distant healing and can be channelled to people, situations or events in the past, present or future.

What to expect during a distant healing Reiki session?

I offer either a distant Reiki treatment combined with my counselling service for an hour or a 30-minutes distant Reiki treatment on its own.

For the combined reiki/Counselling treatment, the session is divided as follow:

The first 30 minutes are dedicated to a counselling session, followed by a 20-minutes distant Reiki treatment. The final 10 minutes allow us to gently reset and close-off the session.

Before starting the Reiki treatment, I invite my clients to find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down to prepare for relaxation.

You are welcome to create your tranquil space to enhance your experience such as using incense or candles. You can also keep your camera on or off as you prefer.

We would start the 20 minutes Reiki treatment with a few long and deep breath to slow ourselves down and drift into a meditative state.

During the treatment, relax and be open to receive the energy. It is ok if you fall asleep during the treatment as you will still receive the energy.

You may experience nothing at all or you may sense some warmth in different areas of your body, tingling sensations or a greater sense of calmness with a quieter mind.

Everyone response to Reiki is unique and I am looking forward to hearing about your experience.
